There’s a saying, “No one knows what the future holds.” I’m not sure who made this quote but they’re right, at least about us as humans. We don’t know what the future holds but God does, because He is already there! I think it’s pretty awesome that our God is so infinite that He can be in the past, present and future all at the same time. He’s omnipresent, and omnipotent! He’s magnificent! Don’t you just love Him? Me too!

There’s so much going on in the world. Many people are losing their lives, jobs and so much more as a result of Covid-19, and during this time of trials that have fallen on the world, instead of us all being united, hate is still running rampant in the streets with horrific acts of violence and racism. It’s a tragedy. We are fighting a spiritual war, but the enemy would have us believe we are fighting a people war or race war, or a virus. The Bible makes it clear about the types of battles we really fight, who’s the enemy and what his agenda is. John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” Ephesians 6:12, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” These two scriptures aren’t meant to make you lose heart, but to make you wise and stronger. They are meant to open your eyes to what’s really going on, so that you’re always prayerful and alert. It’s time to man up and put on our big boy/girl pants and fight the good fight!

1 Peter 5:8 (CEV)
“Be on your guard and stay awake. Your enemy, the devil, is like a roaring lion, sneaking around to find someone to attack. “

So, what do we do? How do we fight? With the Word of God! Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” I’ll give you more scriptures to help you fight in a minute, but first, we must trust God, period. What good is knowing or speaking the Word if we don’t believe God? Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

Just as we trusted God in the past, we trust Him now and we must trust Him with the uncertainties of our future. Why? Because He is already there! He’s the same God. Our situations may change, but God does not! In the good, bad, happy and sad times, God is with us and having Him there makes all the difference in the world.

In order to keep what’s going on around you from getting inside of you, take some time away from the news, away from social media or anyone and anything that’s trying to rob you of your peace of mind. If things are becoming a bit too much, there’s nothing wrong with you needing a mental break. Take it! Don’t take a break from God though. Continue to study His Word. Pray, fast or do whatever it is that the Spirit of God is telling you to do, during your “me time.”

We must quiet our minds in order to hear from God. Have you ever tried to hear two or more people try to tell you something at one time? Usually one person will try to over talk the other person or you’ll become frustrated because you can’t hear clearly. The distractions of this world are out to steal our attention. We have a choice, listen to God or listen to the world. We can’t listen to both at the same time. If we listen to both at the same time, we become frustrated because we can’t hear God clearly. Why? Because the world is also in our ear. We have an ear full of negativity and another ear full of hope. Who will you choose to listen to? I hope it’s the Spirit of God.

Day 1, we talked about God’s faithfulness to us. Day 2, we talked about how we can show our loyalty to Him. Today we will end this devotional with a strong finish. Below I will give you several scriptures on how to finish strong and combat the wiles of the enemy, but remember it all begins with what and who you choose to listen to. What you feed your mind will grow, feed it the Word, so we can finish strong and flourish. 💪🏾

2 Corinthians 10:4-5

For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.

Ephesians 6:11-18
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 2:15

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Ephesians 5:15-16

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

2020 started off rocky for my family, let me just begin with that. I personally had a very close encounter with death when my car lost control on the highway and began to spin three times across the highway into the median that thank God was full of grass, and onto the other side of the highway where incoming traffic was coming towards me. When I got up that morning, I had no idea what the day would bring, but that close encounter with death did two things for me. Number one, it made me grateful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that He was with me and that He allowed traffic on both sides of the highway to be far enough away from me to where they could safely stop without hitting me and He kept my vehicle from spinning into them. Yes, glory to God I came out without one single scratch! Psalm 34:7, “The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.” The second thing that incident did for me was give me hope. Romans 8:24, “For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?“

In 2019, I had gotten to a point in my life of which I said, “You know what, maybe my life isn’t going to get better than what it is, and I am okay with that.” Basically, my good friends, I had fixed my mind to settle for less than what God has promised me. Things hadn’t been going “my way” for so long, I had basically lost hope in my dreams and I was like, it will never happen. I thought that the visions I have of my future must be MY visions. Maybe they didn’t come from God. I thought, perhaps I heard God wrong, but I didn’t. The next scripture is confirmation, “Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.” – Psalm 37:4

Every single time that I’ve tried to give up on my dreams, a messenger from God comes to confirm that the visions and dreams in my heart are indeed from God, and He will not allow me to give up. The messenger may come in the form of a radio host, my pastor, a family member or someone on social media, but at the right time, God always sends me a message of hope. It could be a random stranger, we just never know! 😉

Nothing wakes you up though, like a close encounter with death. When I went through that, it was God’s voice saying, “Your life isn’t over, and where you are in life right now, is not where you will be forever. I keep my promises.” 1C086342-E4A5-440F-B293-C7F5313ED7AB
In the midst of what I was going through I had not one single fear. I was in shock though, but I was not afraid. I thought, “Today’s the day.” But God! Hallelujah! To God be the glory! None of us knows what today may bring, don’t even worry about tomorrow, focus on the present. As Jesus said, “Tomorrow will worry about itself.” (See Matthew 6:34) Things that we go through in life may come as a shock to us, but nothing catches God by surprise. He always makes provision. He is the God who goes before us, to make a way! (See Deuteronomy 31:8)

Today, my good friends, I just want to remind you that God still has a plan for your life. Your current situation is not your final destination. I have been saying that quote for over four years now, and it is true. The fact that we are still in the land of the living is evidence of it! Smile! You have something to LIVE for! So, LIVE! You didn’t hear God wrong. His promises are true, no matter what you are going through. Remember, you’re just going through. Don’t be overcome by your emotions, hold fast to God and remember this every time you want to give up: This is not your end. In Jesus name.

Isaiah 55:11

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Some people allow others to take and take from them and they still won’t let go of that person who’s misusing them. What is it going to take for you to let go? Will you allow them to take your life too?
Listen, they’ve taken your smile, they’ve taken your peace, they’ve taken your joy, they’ve taken your money, they’ve taken your love, they’ve taken your time, they’ve taken everything good about you, from you! Then you’re left bitter, angry, confused, depressed, broke busted and disgusted, emotionally numb, with a negative way of thinking about yourself and the world… and yet, you’re still holding on to this person! 🗣 LET THEM GO!
Some people are already dead long before the casket because they’ve allowed someone else to take life away from them. They feel as though there’s no reason to live because they’ve made their purpose all about one person or in some cases people! Stop trying to force people to see you! The only acknowledgment you need is from God and then HE will open the right doors for you and bring you before the right people! Proverbs 18:16, “A person’s gift opens doors for him and brings him before the great.”
Your life isn’t meant to be lived fixated on people pleasing or loving a person to death! No! Your life is about loving people and being loved to life! Death follows destruction! If a person is destroying you mentally or physically, what do you think is next? Again, LET THEM GO! Love you more! Get to the point of which you say, “Listen here, it’s either me or you, and I choose myself! It’s okay to choose you when people aren’t pouring into you like you pour into them. Strong people needs watering too or else they will die! Period.

Don’t forget to get your copy of my book, “One for the reason of love.” ↙️

Psalm 115:14-15 says, “The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children. Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.”

Have you ever felt like you wasn’t your best self, or that you wasn’t enough, or that you need just a little bit more Jesus in your life? Do you feel as though you’re missing that oomph in your life, or you need to fill a void? That’s your soul crying out for an increase of the Spirit of God! The great thing about the Holy Spirit is that, it never runs out! God will continue to increase His Spirit within you as long as you’re available to receive it! When the Spirit of God increase within you, everything else will begin to increase to. The confirmation of that is this, Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Healing will be added to you! That’s an increase! Wisdom will be added to you! That’s another increase! Promotion will be added to you! Hello increase! Come on, somebody! Hey, it’s a declaration! Speak these things like you believe them! If you need an increase of God’s Spirit in your life, I want to pray for you. Click the link below to listen to this prayer. It will bless you! ❤️

Don’t allow your your past or your current situation to cause you to think you’re not favored! The Word of God says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.” (See Psalm 23:6)
Be SURE that you are blessed and highly favored by the Most High God!
Be SURE that you are who God says you are! NOT your past and NOT your current situation!
You must declare yourself victorious! You must declare yourself free!
You must declare yourself delivered!
Speak LIFE over yourself!
DECLARE the peace of God over your mind!
Don’t allow what you go through to confuse you!
Don’t allow it to steal your joy!
The Word of God says, in Romans 8:37-39, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God is with you! Get this in your spirit!
Your future will be brighter than your past! In Jesus name! Amen!

Father, calm my anxieties. My mind seems to be everywhere right now. Sometimes, I don’t know whether I’m coming or going, and I just need you to make it stop. Speak to my soul. Help me to be still. Set me on the right path and keep my foot from slipping. Help me to keep my eyes on you, and keep me from dwelling on the past, the what if’s, my current situation or tomorrow. Strengthen me for whatever comes my way. I shall NOT cower in the face of danger or uncertainties. Fear has to bow at the name of Jesus. Help me to stand when difficulties come. Increase my faith, for my hope is in you. Fill me with your Spirit. Guard my heart and protect my mind. Tell me what you require of me during this season of my life, and I will do it. Your Word says, in Hebrews 13:21, that you will equip me with everything I need to do your will, and you will produce in me, through the power of Jesus, every good thing that is pleasing to you. Help me to do my best, and not to sweat the rest, because whatever is out of my control, is in your hands. Jesus I trust you. I trust your will for my life, my current situation and my future. Thank you for your love, guidance and protection. I know that there’s a purpose for everything I go through, so I count it all joy! I make Romans 8:38-39 my personal declaration tonight. “For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6,23-26

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

23 Then you will go on your way in safety,
and your foot will not stumble.
24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
25 Have no fear of sudden disaster
or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
26 for the Lord will be at your side
and will keep your foot from being snared.
