Lord help me to be intentional in my thoughts, words, and actions. I don’t want to be naive or ignorant in my doings. Keep me out of my feelings and help me to stand in truth always. Thank you for correcting me when I’m wrong. Thank you for shedding light to the darkness.
Thank you for waking me up when I was sleep and unknowingly following the customs and the ways of this world. Break every chain of paganism followed by customs and traditions that those who came before me followed because those who came before them followed them. Your Word says, You will not have us ignorant. Your Word also says, we perish from our lack of knowledge. You’ve given us knowledge in this new age to learn things and get to know you for ourselves.
I’m tired of doing things because it’s common, or because I’ve learned it, or because friends or family does it. I have learned wrong behaviors and I repent. Your Word says that no one can encounter you and stay the same. I’m tired of doing things my way. I just want to be right, not in the eyes of myself or people, but in your eyes.
I don’t want to be lukewarm. You are a Holy God. Help me to walk in holiness and reverence you with the glory and honor you deserve. Thank you for loving me and keeping my foot from slipping. In Jesus Holy name. Amen.

Instead of chasing the wrong things and people in life, pursue your destiny in Christ. Walk purposefully. I’ve found that many people waste time chasing the wrong things in life, because they aren’t aware of their purpose in life, or because they haven’t allowed God to fill that void in their lives that only He can fill. We need God to continuously fill us with His Spirit because life happens, and we’re imperfect! We get distracted and if not careful, we begin to try to fill the void where the Holy Spirit should reside, with the things and people of this world. If you put your happiness or emotional well being in the hands of other people or things, then you’re also giving them the power to take that happiness and away. There’s nothing wrong with desiring healthy relationships or having nice things, and enjoying all this life has to offer, but don’t depend on this world to satisfy you, because nothing satisfies like the Spirit of God. It’s a fullness of peace and complete joy, whether you are rich or poor, or whether you have many friends or one friend or whether you are single or married, well or sick. No matter where you are in life, He gives a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) that reminds you, even in the midst of a storm, everything’s going to be okay. His Spirit is fulfilling and amongst the peace and joy it brings, it also gives you assurance, wisdom and power, plus so many more benefits. It heals even the most harshest wounds of your heart with only the love that God can give. When you have the Holy Spirit it’s evident in the way you think, speak, walk and live. You only want to pursue the things of God. You want the gifts you have to glorify Him. You want to share the love He has shown to you with others and give them hope. There’s truly no other feeling like it. What can I say, it’s fulfilling, and if life has gotten in your way, and you fill like you’re running low, don’t freight! His Spirit is still powerful and effective. It’s not that it has gotten low, but more than likely it’s been replaced with something else, ie: people or things, but don’t worry! You can get your Holy Spirit groove back! Listen, falling happens to the best of us. We get side tracked, tempted and go through all kinds of things that sometimes temporarily gets our focus! Just refocus. Ask God to fill you with His Spirit as much as you need to, and He will give it to you! I’m praying for you. In Jesus name. ❤️

Refuse to stop praying. Refuse to stop believing. Refuse to give up! That’s how you reach your breakthrough! You have to faith your way through some things. It’s not always going to be easy. Sometimes you may not understand. The journey may get lonesome. Things may not look how you want them to look, but even in all of this… God is still in control. There is nothing too hard for God! The fact that you can’t figure everything out on your own or that you can’t see how things are going to fall into place, is evident that God is in your midst and only He is able to do what the human mind deems impossible. So, be at peace. You don’t have to know everything. You don’t have to figure out everything. You don’t have to worry about anything. God is able. Speak to your storm. No matter how big and bold it is, speak with the authority of the Holy Spirit. God hasn’t brought you this far to leave you. He has brought you this far to show you that He will never forsake you. The higher you go in your faith walk, the harder the battles will get for you. You can’t think like you did when you had a little faith. In order to knock the walls down, that’s designed to keep you out of the promises of God, you’re going to have to need a ridiculous faith! A faith that makes no humanly sense! A faith that calls you to be obedient. A faith that’s going to require you to wait a while, and then be patient a little longer. A faith that says, no matter how jacked up your situation is, all things are working for your good! A faith that smiles and yet praise God, when all hell is breaking loose! Why? Because, you know His Word says, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” – Isaiah 26:3. Stay in faith my good people. The way to extinguish the fiery darts of the enemy is through faith! (Read Ephesians 6:16) We’re at warfare folks, but by faith a shift in the natural is about to happen because the battle is already won, supernaturally! Nothing or no one can stop what God has in store for us! The weapons may form but by faith in God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they will not prosper! 1 Corinthians 2:9, “But, as it is written: That eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither hath it entered into the heart of man, what things God hath prepared for them that love him.”

Listen… a butthole will be a butthole regardless of what you do, or what you do to it… Let me explain. If a person has jacked up morals, or if a person’s damaged, then they will behave accordingly. It has very little or nothing to do with how good of a person you are or how good you are to them. If they’re a butthole, then they’re going to be with the 💩, regardless!

It just frustrates me when people make excuses for their disrespectful or someone else’s disrespectful or shady behavior. Being a good and decent human being shouldn’t have anything to do with the actions of other individuals or their actions towards you. Yes, they may make you feel a certain type of way, but you shouldn’t be giving them your power by responding negatively to negative energy. Neither should you take a person’s weaknesses and use them to your advantage, so that you can selfishly benefit from their suffering.

We need to treat people the way we want to be treated, because what goes around comes around, and if you’re out here looking out for yourself regardless of how it affects those around you, then please believe that eventually you’ll get a taste of your own medicine in some way. Luke 6:31, “Do to others as you would have them do to you.” Galatians 6:7, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”

If you’re a good person and you’ve been misused or abused in any way, please don’t allow those negative actions that people have committed towards you, to get inside of you. Don’t become like them, become better. Keep being the person you are but apply wisdom, knowledge and understanding to your life as well. These three things will help guide you in life. The Word of God says,

James 1:5 New International Version (NIV)

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

Listen, it’s not your fault that you were good to someone who was bad to you. It’s not your fault that you were loyal to someone who was disloyal to you. It’s not your fault that you kept it one hundred with someone who kept it ten with you! Straight up! Learn from what you go through! Don’t become cold hearted, but do become wiser. The truth is, we can’t protect ourselves from being hurt, at some point (if you really desire love) you’re going to have to be vulnerable and run the risk of getting your heartbroken. If you try to protect your heart from being broken, you’ll never find love because you’re not fully applying yourself. Continue to produce the fruits of the Spirit and regardless of what you go through or what someone does to you, you’ll always come out a winner! Galatians 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 2 Corinthians 2:14 (GW), “But I thank God, who always leads us in victory because of Christ. Wherever we go, God uses us to make clear what it means to know Christ. It’s like a fragrance that fills the air.”

Remember, you are not a victim, because Christ has made you victorious!

The Word of God says, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. The problem is, many of us would rather do things in our own strength rather than make the necessary sacrifice it takes to get us to where we need to be. We gotta put in the work, folks. The kind of work I’m talking about isn’t always pretty or enjoyable, however, it’s beneficial. It’s easy for us to do things our way and continue to get the same results, but if we want a different result, a better result, then we have to tap into the strength of God, so that He can get us to where we need to be. Making a sacrifice requires the strength of God, and I’m not talking about a small price to pay for something we desire. I’m talking about getting out of our comfort zone or making a faith move that God told you to make that seems totally bizarre on the surface, but you know that it will yield the right results. Some things we simply cannot accomplish on our own, therefore we need the strength of Christ to help us. Whatever your goals are, vision for your life is, whatever your heart’s desire, go for it with the strength of God and you’ll be successful in it. His strength is eternal and it’s guaranteed to get you the right results, lasting results, all you have to do is tap into His strength and stay there. Isaiah 40:29, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”

You have to be careful when you’re representing God. Too many “leaders” are following the ways of the world trying to spare people feelings! I could care less about sparing your feelings if it’s going to save your soul! God said what He said! 🤷🏾‍♀️ He can’t make us do anything we don’t want to do, but please believe there is a consequence for our actions. Just because we get comfortable in our mess, doesn’t mean it’s no longer messy, because we are in Christ. The Word of God says, in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” You’re saved immediately, but that transformation can take a while, unless God immediately takes that addiction, stronghold or whatever you’re dealing with away from you. I’ve heard testimonies where He has, but most times we’re a work in progress. If you are in Christ, and you are living to please Him, and not yourself, there’s no way you’re going to stay the same as when you were without God. You cannot have a real personal encounter with Jesus Christ and remain the same. His Spirit changes you. If His Spirit lives within you, then you will be changed for the better. You will no longer make excuses for why you choose to sin. You will hold yourself accountable and work on doing better. The world we live in would rather hear what sounds good or keeps them in their mess, than to hear the truth that will save their soul. Too many “Christians” are in their feelings instead of in the Word. You can’t straddle the fence. James 4:4 says, “You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.” Let me break this scripture down for those who don’t know. First of all, following the ways of the world (meaning what’s right in the mind of people and not God) but claiming to be a child of God, means that you’re cheating on God, therefore giving meaning the the “adulterous people “ in James 4:4. It’s talking about those of us who belong to Christ, but instead of following Christ, follow the ways of the world. Oftentimes we as believers follow the ways of the world in fear that if we don’t, the world will condemn us. Honey… I’d rather be hated by the world than to be condemned by God for knowing the truth and living a lie, or encouraging people to follow a lie. With that being said, there is no parts of the Word that I disagree with. Listen, with God, you’re either all in or all out. Sin is sin. No matter how much you try to paint over it with love, acceptance or whatever else you want to throw in there. Jesus loves us, but He didn’t die for us to stay in our sin. He died to set us free from it, and the final consequence of it. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather be known by God as His child, than known by the world. We have to do better y’all. None of us are perfect but since when did that become an excuse to become comfortable in our mess, and deliberately go against the Word of God? If anything we should be like Paul and PRESS towards the mark! I’m sorry but you cannot live according to how you feel. A person’s feelings will lead them straight to hell. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Get our of your feelings so that God can deliver you out of your mess!

Romans 6:1-7 New International Version (NIV)

Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ

6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

You can always tell when people are miserable. No matter how good they look on the outside, the ugliness on the inside always tends to show. They refuse to celebrate other people’s happiness and success. They find something negative to say about everything, even when there’s nothing negative about it. It’s their minds I tell ya… When you think negatively, automatically you’re going to perceive things in a negative way. Let’s all take a moment to pray for these folks to stop basking in their unhappiness because it’s really hurting and hindering them, more than it does the people who they’re looking down upon or talking about. Another reason that it’s important to let the past go! If not, you’ll become bitter; holding on to the offense of the past, while the person or people who hurt you are happily enjoying life. Don’t ever allow someone to take your beauty away from you, and I’m talking about real beauty, that inner glow! Things that can’t be bought like, love, kindness, that inner joy that shows when you smile, and your peace of mind. If someone walks out on you, make sure that they don’t leave with your inner virtues. If you came happy, when they leave, you should still be happy. It all starts with you first. Love God, love yourself and then you’ll be able to “Love your neighbor as yourself” which is commanded by God and said to be by Jesus himself, as one of the greatest commandments after loving God (see Mark 12:31). When you think about it, it’s hard to love your neighbor when you hate yourself, no matter how cute you are physically. Our outer appearance is but a temporary mask. The important things, things that last forever are those things planted in our hearts, in our minds and in our souls. Things that even after we leave this body, are forever with us. Those attributes are what makes us who we are. Let’s make sure that we’re carrying around the right Spirit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” – Galatians 5:22-23(a). Do a fruit check in your life. If you’re not producing any of the fruit above, then perhaps, there’s a seed there that shouldn’t have been planted. Ask God to help you remove it, in Jesus name and bury this next scripture in your heart and in your mind, Philippians 4:8, “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” In Jesus name. Be blessed.

You know what… I was going to do a video but I decided not to because it’s HOT outside! Anyway, something has been on my heart for some time and I think it’s time to let it out! Besides, it’s not good to keep things bottled up internally, because once all the crap piles up on the inside, when it finally comes out it’s going be a stinking disaster!

So what’s been on my heart? Faith. Faith and how we as the body of Christ need to learn what faith really is. For one thing, Faith is something you can’t cheat. If you’re going to be in it, then you gotta go all the way… come what may! I respect people who make things happen instead of complaining about what’s not going right in their lives. These people take initiative and get things done, they go in faith! Sad to say, but many unbelievers get things done or make great accomplishments in life because they believed and put their faith into action. Meanwhile, many of us as believers are sulking in misery over our disappointments, failures, disadvantages, or insufficiencies… as if we are Godless. I hate that. I hate when a child of God goes around worrying about the things of this world, as if God has not taken care of them all of their lives. Nothing is too hard for God, but you know what the problem is? Oftentimes your faith is dead… How did your faith die? From being still… You see, faith is something you have to work. Our relationship with God is a partnership. Show Him that you believe He’s going to make it happen by doing what you can. The first thing you should do is stop declaring lack and negativity over your life. Saved people do this all the time by saying, “I ain’t got (southern for, ‘I don’t have’).” What do you mean, “you ain’t got?” The Word of God says in Psalm 23:1, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Stop going around saying, what you don’t have or you’ll never have anything. You will stay in lack. Broke and insufficient funds will continue to find you because for one, that’s all you’re declaring. Transform your mind and start declaring God’s Word over your life, and get out of your feelings or your feelings will keep you broke, busted, disgusted and ungrateful… real talk. So the first thing to do is to watch what you’re decreeing over your life. The second thing to do is to make the necessary sacrifices you need to make to get to where you need to be. I mean seriously. We don’t need everything we want, and if we desire a better life, we need to start making better decisions about some things. Some things we can do without, heck, some people even, especially when they’re more of a hindrance than a blessing. You can’t put everything on God when you’re not holding yourself accountable for your own actions. God will do for you, but you also gotta do for yourself. There’s a saying, “God helps those who helps themselves.” Real faith isn’t sitting on your behind and waiting on God. Read your Bible. Anytime anybody in the Bible went in faith they WENT! Go in faith means to GO! Again, if your faith isn’t moving it’s dead. So start moving your faith by decreeing and declaring God’s Word over your life, and then start making those sacrifices to get to the level you want to be at in life. You’re going to have to tell yourself no sometimes. You’re going to have to tell some people no sometimes. 😕You’re going to have to learn to make sacrifices. It may hurt now, but you’ll be thankful that you did it later. Go to God and tell Him what you’re believing Him for, then go after that thing, come hell or high water and get it. It’s already within our reach, we just need to take hold of it by not backing out of our faith! When it comes to faith, you gotta be all in it, to win it! Don’t cheat your faith by inviting fear, doubt, and anxiety in. Work your faith by believing God, declaring His Word over your life, doing what you can do on your part, and being at peace with God doing the rest.

When everything and everyone is getting on your nerves, do you know what that means? You need to take a break! Put down your phone, turn off the TV, go to your prayer closet, or anywhere that you can get to that’s quiet and pray. In this prayer, don’t talk… just listen. The reason that I said, don’t talk is because oftentimes when we are frustrated, it’s because we’re running low on the Spirit Of God, and like Erica Campbell said, “I need just a little more Jesus.” In these times we need the Lord to fill us with His Spirit until we’re in overflow. We need Him to pour in us until we’re empty of all distractions. Romans 8:26-27, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”Listen, we don’t always know what to pray, but as long as we can just get to a quiet place and listen for God’s voice, we’ll be okay. He already knows what’s on our heart without us uttering a word. We know that if we are frustrated, we can receive His peace, but what happens when the source of our frustrations are unknown to us? Then what? God doesn’t want us to receive His peace and five minutes later, become frustrated again. Therefore, it’s imperative that we listen for His voice, so that He can fix the root of the problem, give us direction and as much as His Spirit that we need.

Be mindful of who or what you’re following. You’ve heard these sayings, “Follow your heart.” “Follow your dreams.” An influencer may say, “Follow me on social media.” All too often we’re so busy following other people or our own desires, that we fail to realize that anything (including our own desires) that we seek or follow more than we follow God, is a recipe for disaster, and let me tell you why. We were all born with a talent. The talent that God gifted us with is supposed to be used to glorify Him. That’s our gift back to Him. But what happens when you focus on the talent, more than He who equipped you with the talent? You begin to follow your dreams first, instead of following Christ. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” People, we should be looking to God first, and our dreams will follow us. God will lead us to our destiny. We shouldn’t be out here looking to people, things or ourselves to fulfill our God given destiny. We should be looking to God. Looking to anything or anyone other than God will cause us to use our gifts for the wrong things. We’ll be out here using our God given talents for self gratification and vain glory. You know what else will happen? When you follow people and not God first, you give them the power to dictate how you use your talent. Which is why, if you do your research, many people in Pop culture aren’t happy. They feel like they can’t be who they are, they have to be their labels “image” of who they are. Don’t sell yourself short folks. Follow God, and everything else in life will follow you. You won’t have to seek these things first. God will lead you to these things. Blessings will be added unto you. And another thing, don’t follow your heart, unless you’ve first asked God to speak to it, and I’m going to tell you why. Because the heart can be deceptive. After all, your heart is yours, and it’s going to want what it wants naturally… Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” Have you ever followed your heart and fell in love with someone you know darn well wasn’t right for you… but, your heart said give that person a chance? Then what you thought was love, ended in heartbreak? That’s because the heart wants you to do what feels right, but doing what we feel is right and doing what God says is right are two different things. A lot of times our right is tied to our own motives. God’s right, which is THE RIGHT WAY, will have us living with purpose, which means our life will be fruitful, because we’re looking to Him. Psalm 37:4, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Don’t look to people to put you on, God will put you on, and He will connect you to the right people. Don’t look to the things of this world, because the things of this world don’t make you, the Word of God does! Don’t look to yourself, because there’s only so much you can do, and not only that but selfishness separates us from God, we can’t love or live the life God intended for us to live if we’re selfish. So, in conclusion, follow God FIRST, and your dreams (the desires of your heart) will follow you. ❤️
