Being different makes a different kind of impact. Anyone can follow the crowd, but faith in God and being secure within yourself will help you walk purposefully and keep you focused, regardless of what other people are doing. Don’t be afraid to stand out, in fear that someone may try to steal your shine. We can all shine together, and what God has for you, is for you. No one can take that away from you. Quick story: There was this high school kid who took pride in always being the first to have a certain style of name brand shoes that no one else in high school had. It seemed like once people saw her with the shoes, they’d go buy them. I’m sure the people probably seen the shoes at the store, they weren’t hard to notice. They were nice shoes, but very unique. However, most people went with the shoes that they knew were popular. When the kids would come to school and see how swagged out this girl was in the shoes they overlooked, they thought to themselves, “Wow, she had the guts to buy those shoes. I was afraid no one would see how great they were! They look awesome on her! I’m going to get those. I want to look cool like her.” So, people began to buy them, because of the one girl who had the nerve to be different and make it work! So, the word for today is, MAKE YOUR DIFFERENCE WORK! So what, you don’t look like them, sound like them or act like them. Be you, and don’t be afraid that people won’t like it or even that they’ll copy you. Don’t call it copying, call it inspiration! You inspire folks! No one is better at being you, than you, and there’s something within you that’s going to help bring out greatness in others. Again, don’t be afraid of that. If you’re doing whatever you’re doing with pure motives and for the glory of God, then no one else’s light will dull your shine, just like your light won’t dull theirs if their doing what’s right in the eyes of God. If anyone’s doing something out of selfish ambitions or if there’s some sort of trifling behavior going on, please believe that God will expose that person. Luke 8:17, “For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.” So, either way, a person’s truth will be exposed. Regardless of what may or may not happen, be you. Be original. Whether someone like it or not or even if they are inspired to do what you’re doing, shouldn’t make any difference in who you are and what God is doing through you! All things work together for the good! 😉(see Romans 8:28) So, make your difference work by not worrying about what may or may not happen and just be you. ❤️ Let the God in you shine through! ✨

2 Corinthians 10:18, “For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.”

We shouldn’t aspire to be another human being but it’s good to be inspired by our fellow human and I will tell you why. When God created each of us, He gave each of us a talent or several talents. “To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away.” – Matthew 25:15 We are held accountable for what we do with our gifts. We shouldn’t spend our lives wanted to be someone else. Our lives should be spent being our best selves, which is what God purposed us to be. If He wanted you to be Harry, He would have made you Harry. If He wanted you to be Diana, He would have made you Diana, but guess what? He made you, you; and He made me, me. So, we must be our best selves. Forget being people approved, are you God approved? There’s nothing wrong with being ambitious and having various degrees or exceeding intellectually, but none of those things a person may have to brag or boast on can compare to the joy that comes to someone who hears, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” – Matthew 25:21

I’d rather be faithful with what I have and allow God to use me, than to attain all the things of the world and God not know my name. Mark 8:36, “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and to lose his soul?”

The way to get over them is to focus on you and God’s plan for your life. Stop worrying about people and things that no longer grow or concern you. When it’s out of your control, put it in God’s hands and focus on the things you can do, like learning and growing and walking in the fullness of who God created you to be. You can’t walk in greatness worrying about what used to be. Yesterday is gone! What are you going to do with what’s left? The Word of God tells us to make the most of today or in better words, make use of the time you have. (See Ephesians 5:16) We can’t get back yesterday. We don’t need yesterday to move forward into what God has for us. The only thing we should take from yesterday is the lesson. We need a heart that’s obedient to God’s will for us. He has a plan for each of our lives, individually, and that plan does not consist of aspiring to be the next person or dwelling on the good old past. The Word of God says, “The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the LORD of hosts.” – Haggai 2:9 I don’t know about you, but I believe that! God’s plan for each of us is to allow Him to use each of us, at maximum capacity. We all have the potential to be great, but we must stop coveting other people’s greatness and look at the God within us. We must also forget about what we consider our losses, whether it be people or things of this world, because if we no longer have it, we don’t need it. The Word tells us, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19 Sometimes we must lose some people, things, and battles in order to become who God created us to be. If we remain too focused on other people or the things of this world, how can we hear from God when it comes to things concerning our own life and the purpose for which He created us as an individual? Don’t worry about other people, focus on you. Get over what this celebrity is doing with their life, or how green your neighbors grass is compared to yours. Get over what your ex is doing now, or material things that you may no longer have compared to the days of your past. Stop looking at how great their life is or how great your life was. This may be a hard pill for someone to swallow but, learn to cut your losses. Sometimes, less is more. You may think some things, and people are great to have but sometimes those things and people aren’t helping you, they’re hindering you. The less mess you have in your life, the more room God has to do the exceedingly abundantly above more than you can ask or think of in your life. ❤️

Utilize the resources you have. Don’t make excuses as to why you won’t do something! The Word of God says, Luke 16:10(a), ““If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones.” Show God what you can do with a little and watch Him take you to overflow! Don’t wait to be faithful when it gets better, be faithful now. That’s how you know where your faith really lies. Real faith doesn’t wait until things get better to praise God, it praises God until things gets better! God is interested in what we’re doing with what we have. He isn’t concerned about what you would do if you had more! The truth is, whether you like it or not, what you’re doing with what you have now, is an indication of what you’d do if you were blessed with more! God gives us grace for today. Stop worrying about tomorrow. When or if tomorrow becomes today, He will give you grace for that day as well. We stress ourselves out by worrying about tomorrow. When Jesus taught His disciples the Lord’s Prayer, one of the things He said was, “Give us this day our daily bread.” He said this with purpose. We must focus on the present and trust that God will make provision for this day. With all of this in mind, make the most of the opportunity in front of you. The Word says, 2 Peter 1:3, “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” Don’t sweat the small stuff, and what I mean by small, the world may perceive as a big deal, but not to God. You have everything you need. God can do a lot with your little, so that the world will know it was He who has done great things and He will be glorified. So, let Him use what you’ve got! You’ll be amazed and never disappointed. Ephesians 5:16, “Make the most of your opportunities because these are evil days.”

Refuse to stop praying. Refuse to stop believing. Refuse to give up! That’s how you reach your breakthrough! You have to faith your way through some things. It’s not always going to be easy. Sometimes you may not understand. The journey may get lonesome. Things may not look how you want them to look, but even in all of this… God is still in control. There is nothing too hard for God! The fact that you can’t figure everything out on your own or that you can’t see how things are going to fall into place, is evident that God is in your midst and only He is able to do what the human mind deems impossible. So, be at peace. You don’t have to know everything. You don’t have to figure out everything. You don’t have to worry about anything. God is able. Speak to your storm. No matter how big and bold it is, speak with the authority of the Holy Spirit. God hasn’t brought you this far to leave you. He has brought you this far to show you that He will never forsake you. The higher you go in your faith walk, the harder the battles will get for you. You can’t think like you did when you had a little faith. In order to knock the walls down, that’s designed to keep you out of the promises of God, you’re going to have to need a ridiculous faith! A faith that makes no humanly sense! A faith that calls you to be obedient. A faith that’s going to require you to wait a while, and then be patient a little longer. A faith that says, no matter how jacked up your situation is, all things are working for your good! A faith that smiles and yet praise God, when all hell is breaking loose! Why? Because, you know His Word says, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” – Isaiah 26:3. Stay in faith my good people. The way to extinguish the fiery darts of the enemy is through faith! (Read Ephesians 6:16) We’re at warfare folks, but by faith a shift in the natural is about to happen because the battle is already won, supernaturally! Nothing or no one can stop what God has in store for us! The weapons may form but by faith in God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they will not prosper! 1 Corinthians 2:9, “But, as it is written: That eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither hath it entered into the heart of man, what things God hath prepared for them that love him.”

Every morning, Sunshine woke Lily bright and early. Lily would rise out of her comfy flower bed, yawning and stretching. Sunshine would already be up working, and making preparations for the day. Sunshine was always working and early mornings never seemed to be a bother to Him. He was always so bright and full of life. “Sunshine?” Lilly said. “Yes, Lilly?” Sunshine responded, while multitasking, being both attentive to Lilly and making sure that the entire garden was cared for. “Thank you for always waking me up and making sure that not only I, but the entire garden has everything it needs. If it wasn’t for you, I’d sleep most my days away, but thanks to you, I have purpose. When you wake me each morning, it motivates me to grow. It motivates me to make the best of every opportunity and for that, I am grateful. Thank you for always being there for me. You will never leave me, right?” Sunshine smiled, and His rays beamed on Lily gently. “You’re welcome, Lily,” Sunshine said. “It gives me great pleasure to be here for you. I will never leave you, but I want to talk to you about something,” Sunshine said. “Yes,” Lily replied with all ears. “There will come a time when you won’t see me, but you must trust that I am with you. You won’t feel my rays gently beaming on you and you won’t hear my voice, but you must trust that I am there. Okay?” Lily said, “Okay, but will you give me a heads up before this happens?” Sunshine laughed, “Oh, Lily. I’m giving you a heads up now. It won’t happen today, but it will one day, and I want you to be prepared.” “Well, remind me right before it happens, Sunshine. You know, so I won’t freak out,” Lily said. Sunshine laughed again. “It doesn’t work like that, Lily. You must remember what I’m telling you today, and prepare yourself daily, so you’ll know what to do once this happens. You will still be able to talk to me, see me and feel my presence, just not the way you’re used to, but have faith. Just because I’m not physically with you doesn’t mean I’m not present. Okay?” “Okay,” Lily said. So months went by, and Lily had gotten back comfortable with Sunshine still being there physically to care for her, she’d even forgotten that he said one day she’d wake up and she wouldn’t see or hear from him. Then one day, he suddenly wasn’t glowing. The day felt gloomy. The garden was still there, but it didn’t look or feel the same as it did when Sunshine’s rays were present. Then Lily remembered what Sunshine had told her. Even though she felt alone and didn’t know how she was going to go on, she rose and did everything Sunshine taught her to do. Things didn’t feel the same though. She cried because she longed for Sunshine’s presence, but even in the midst of this, she kept doing what Sunshine had taught her. “Are you there Sunshine? It’s me, Lily,” she said without making a sound. “I’m here,” Sunshine said. Immediately, a joy came over Lily. “I feel your rays gently beaming on me,” Lily said, again without speaking a word. Sunshine’s comfort gave Lily a peace that even she didn’t understand, and a joy that even a gloomy day couldn’t take away. Suddenly, the garden began to thrive and things began to look like they did when everyone could see Sunshine. This was all evidence that Sunshine was there, and even though Lily couldn’t see him, she believed him. That night, Lily heard Sunshine’s voice in her heart. He told her that he was well pleased with her faith. Lily learned an important lesson that day, “Faith doesn’t make things easy, it makes them possible.” “All things are possible for one who believes.” -Jesus (Mark 9:23)

In life, there will be times when you can’t hear God like you used to. Things may not look like they used to and you may not even feel His presence, but remember what He has taught you and continue on. He’s always with you. Matthew 28:20, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Father God, someone out there just needs a break. They take three steps forward and get pushed three steps back. Progression seems to be further and further away, God. When they try to do what’s right, everything seems to go wrong. They’re beginning to feel like their best isn’t good enough, and they’re weary of life. God, I pray that you breathe peace their way, Jesus. Restore their hope. Restore their faith. Lord, you said in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” You told us life wouldn’t be easy, but you also said we could still be at peace in the midst of our troubles because of you! You overcame the world, and that makes us over-comers! Father, restore the joy of their salvation. Revive their soul with your Holy Spirit. Let whoever this person is, know that, the break they need is in their praise. I pray that they just take a praise break every time they feel weary God. Every time they feel defeated, I pray that they praise their way to their victory. I pray that they will not allow life to steal their praise, for you are a good, good Father who provides for us daily. Help whoever’s going through to know that it’s not about what they go through, but it’s about what they decide to do while they’re going through that matters! Father, I pray that they allow your light to shine through them. Your Spirit is the break they need. More of the things of this world can’t satisfy like you, Lord. Help them to realize that, and to trust you. You are yet making a way, and haven’t failed yet. Father, remind them that sometimes progression doesn’t manifest physically at first. Sometimes, our spirit man and mental state has to get right before we see the results in the natural. Help them to see the progress their making that leads to everlasting life. Shift their focus from being caught up in these temporal things. Remind them that they’re more than conquerors and no amount of troubles can separate them from your love. In your precious name we pray, Jesus. Amen and thank God.

1 John 5:4

“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”

Be good to others because you’re a good person. Don’t let negativity affect the positivity in you! There’s a difference in being nice and being kind. Kindness is a lifestyle and being nice is an obligation… and favors… well… huh! That’s why it’s called a favor right?

The truth is, you never know when someone is doing something out of the kindness of their heart, or when it’s a favor! This is why I try my best to live this scripture, Romans 13:8, “Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.“ Sure we want to know that people who we’ve been there for, will also be loyal to us to, but should we depend on them to?

I learned a long time ago not to put my trust in people. I hope for the best, but my faith is in God! Listen, beloved, just because you do right by others, doesn’t mean they’ll always do right by you, and when you are being good to others, make sure that there are no secret motives. Be good to others because God told you to, not because you’re expecting something in return. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:11 (AMP)

For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].

Listen, stop depending on people! PERIOD! The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, Christian Standard Bible

“And my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Trust God, no matter how hard it gets. When things get difficult, God wants us to look to Him, NOT PEOPLE!

Not only that, but if you’re not doing something out of the kindness of your heart… 🗣🗣🗣 What are you doing it for? You’re setting yourself up to be disappointed! Whatever you need, you will find it in God! He will protect and direct you in the way that you should go! If you go to Him first, and trust that He will make a way, He will use people to bless you!

The thing is, you must seek Him first! Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” You don’t have to beg when you’re a child of God! Get Deuteronomy 28:13 in your spirit, “The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

Stop stressing yourself out about who won’t support you, who turned their back on you, or who won’t return the favor! You don’t need a favor from people when you have the favor of God! He will supply all of your needs. Don’t regret being good to others, despite what they do to you, because your reward is in Heaven! It’s a blessing just to be a blessing!

God sees your good deeds! Don’t you know He got you? You may feel like people don’t honor you like you honor them, but let me ask you something. Are you living to receive a reward from people, or are you living to receive a reward from God?

Stop worrying and start standing on His promises! In Jesus name!

Luke 6:34-35

And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

Matthew 8:26

“And He says to them, ‘O you of little faith, Why are you afraid?’ Then having arisen, He rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.” Jesus didn’t say, you of no faith, because it took some faith for them to go to Him, but Jesus wanted them to have enough faith to be unbothered by what was happening around them! Just because it’s happening around you, doesn’t mean it has to happen to you. What do I mean by that? Fear may be all around you, but you don’t have to let it in! Don’t be afraid!

It doesn’t take much faith to get your paycheck every week, and divide that check in order to take care of your living expenses. The reason it doesn’t take much faith is because you know that if you work, you are going to get paid! You’re expecting that check, and in some cases, your bills are automatically drafted out of your bank account that is dependent on that check! Another reason it doesn’t take much faith to expect your wages is because you trust the company that you work for.

You’re not going to work for someone who’s inconsistent when it comes to giving you your money or when it comes to them keeping their word.

But, what about if the company shuts down out of nowhere and you no longer have a job (God forbids)? What will you do then? You look for new work, but it seems like you just can’t catch a break! Meanwhile your bills are pilling up and you don’t know how you’re going to get through! Do you want to know how to get through?

You have to turn your faith up a notch! You see, it doesn’t take much faith to get by or live comfortably when you can see your check coming or when you can see everything going according to your plans! However, real faith is when you don’t see and still believe like you already have! Mark 11:24, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” You must have a relationship with God in order to trust Him!

Just like you trust the company that you work for, or trust a certain medication to heal you, you must trust God, but even more. A company can let you down. Some medications are good for one thing but does absolutely nothing for other illnesses, but God is able to do anything! He won’t let you down and His power is able to supply your every need! Just like you know when your check is coming through, you must have that same faith in God to know that although you’re facing a difficult time in life, HE WILL COME THROUGH!

You don’t have to know when, just know He’s always on time! So learn how to be unbothered by what you go through, because your problems don’t stop God from being with you! He’s promised to never leave or forsake you (see Deuteronomy 31:6). Be confident in Him!

Speak to your situation with the authority of the Holy Spirit and then go in faith saying, “So it is! It is so! In Jesus name! Amen!

Faith is something that doesn’t always make sense, however it always works! The reason it doesn’t always make sense is because God doesn’t think like us. We think with human logic, but God is omniscience. So when the Holy Spirit moves on us to act in a way that goes against human logic, we take that leap of faith and trust God! 2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we live by faith, not by sight.”

Today I was driving my daughter home from school, and a person that was driving the car two cars ahead of me began to swerve. Everyone else in traffic were steady, but I began to look down at the street to see what the person was trying to avoid. It was a turtle. You could tell it was trying to run across the street, but it was still going slow. After admiring how cute it was, my daughter said, “That turtle took a leap of faith crossing the street.”

I agreed! It’s a pretty busy street, but evidently that turtle was on a mission and no matter how many cars were coming at it, it kept going! It didn’t matter that it may have looked crazy to everyone, by it being so slow and small, but still determined to cross that busy street, which I’m sure looks a lot bigger to the turtle than it does to us! When my daughter said, “That turtle took a leap of faith,” she was on to something! That turtle was fearless, and you could tell that it valued its life, because it was trying to scurry across the street.

We can learn from this turtle! I believe the lesson here is, not to allow what you see as a disadvantage, or even your shortcomings, to stop you! So what you’re not the fastest! You may have been working on a dream for years, and barely see the results you want. I encourage you to keep going like the turtle… eventually you will make it!

Remember slow and steady wins the race! God can use what you view as a disadvantage, to your advantage! Don’t allow the fear of what could go wrong, to stop you from going to get your blessing! Don’t sit on the sidelines, waiting until the right moment to be happy, or to fulfill that dream! There’s never a right moment!

You must start where you are, with what you have. If you don’t have anything but a praise, then just praise God! I’m serious! Start where you are, with what you have, and watch God bring the increase! He will see you safely through whatever it is He’s put in your heart to accomplish.

All He’s asking you to do is to stop trusting in what you deem as logical, and take a leap of faith!

Romans 10:11 (CEV)

“The Scriptures say no one who has faith will be disappointed.”
