You must make a declaration over you and your family’s life that you are healthy, prosperous, purposeful and favored! Make this declaration even when it’s hard to see these things. Believe God’s best for you and your family! The depression won’t last. Your days of being broke won’t last. The pain in your body won’t last. Trouble don’t last always, but the Word of God stands true forever! Bad things may happen around you, but it cannot get inside you if the Spirit of God is there. You will rise above the storm and soar to new heights. God will cause your light to shine in the darkest places. He will cause your cup to overflow and bless you in ways your expectations! All you have to do is keep believing in the valley and GOD will take you to the top.

Psalm 27:13

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.

There’s a saying, “No one knows what the future holds.” I’m not sure who made this quote but they’re right, at least about us as humans. We don’t know what the future holds but God does, because He is already there! I think it’s pretty awesome that our God is so infinite that He can be in the past, present and future all at the same time. He’s omnipresent, and omnipotent! He’s magnificent! Don’t you just love Him? Me too!

There’s so much going on in the world. Many people are losing their lives, jobs and so much more as a result of Covid-19, and during this time of trials that have fallen on the world, instead of us all being united, hate is still running rampant in the streets with horrific acts of violence and racism. It’s a tragedy. We are fighting a spiritual war, but the enemy would have us believe we are fighting a people war or race war, or a virus. The Bible makes it clear about the types of battles we really fight, who’s the enemy and what his agenda is. John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” Ephesians 6:12, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” These two scriptures aren’t meant to make you lose heart, but to make you wise and stronger. They are meant to open your eyes to what’s really going on, so that you’re always prayerful and alert. It’s time to man up and put on our big boy/girl pants and fight the good fight!

1 Peter 5:8 (CEV)
“Be on your guard and stay awake. Your enemy, the devil, is like a roaring lion, sneaking around to find someone to attack. “

So, what do we do? How do we fight? With the Word of God! Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” I’ll give you more scriptures to help you fight in a minute, but first, we must trust God, period. What good is knowing or speaking the Word if we don’t believe God? Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

Just as we trusted God in the past, we trust Him now and we must trust Him with the uncertainties of our future. Why? Because He is already there! He’s the same God. Our situations may change, but God does not! In the good, bad, happy and sad times, God is with us and having Him there makes all the difference in the world.

In order to keep what’s going on around you from getting inside of you, take some time away from the news, away from social media or anyone and anything that’s trying to rob you of your peace of mind. If things are becoming a bit too much, there’s nothing wrong with you needing a mental break. Take it! Don’t take a break from God though. Continue to study His Word. Pray, fast or do whatever it is that the Spirit of God is telling you to do, during your “me time.”

We must quiet our minds in order to hear from God. Have you ever tried to hear two or more people try to tell you something at one time? Usually one person will try to over talk the other person or you’ll become frustrated because you can’t hear clearly. The distractions of this world are out to steal our attention. We have a choice, listen to God or listen to the world. We can’t listen to both at the same time. If we listen to both at the same time, we become frustrated because we can’t hear God clearly. Why? Because the world is also in our ear. We have an ear full of negativity and another ear full of hope. Who will you choose to listen to? I hope it’s the Spirit of God.

Day 1, we talked about God’s faithfulness to us. Day 2, we talked about how we can show our loyalty to Him. Today we will end this devotional with a strong finish. Below I will give you several scriptures on how to finish strong and combat the wiles of the enemy, but remember it all begins with what and who you choose to listen to. What you feed your mind will grow, feed it the Word, so we can finish strong and flourish. 💪🏾

2 Corinthians 10:4-5

For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.

Ephesians 6:11-18
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 2:15

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Ephesians 5:15-16

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

You know, one of the things I’ve learned this year is that people are not okay with being okay, when they know that they can do better. Sometimes, it takes someone else’s unpopular opinion about us, to make us realize that we’re settling in life. They tell us the ugly truth about ourselves and it bothers us, because we know that we can do better. With faith in God and determination in your heart, you can do anything! We must stop making excuses and limiting ourselves by how we perceive things. If we are faithful with what we have, God will bless it, but we must put in the work. It’s not that we can’t do better, oftentimes we won’t do better, until we’re pushed out of our comfort zones by force. Why wait though? We must push ourselves, before things get to the point to where we have no choice but to do better. Don’t get comfortable with settling! The Word of God says, in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” So, more often than not, we have no excuse. Being or doing better may be challenging, but when you see the fruits of your labor, it’s worth it! So, my challenge to myself and to you is this, ask yourself; Am I okay, with where I am in life? Am I okay, with who I am?” If you’re not okay, then don’t wait until someone else comes along and says, You can do or be better. Or, don’t wait until you see someone else living their best life before you start to live yours. Don’t waste anymore time. Be your best self, by doing some self improvement. We could all be better at something. Remember, if you have the faith for it, God will help you bring it to pass. ❤️82F6467D-5038-47B2-9E95-A51D2BA27B52

Quick encouragement for you tonight. When your situation, circumstances and life tries to tell you who you are, you tell it who you is! Jesus was laid in a manger filled with hay. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, but He wasn’t born with a silver spoon in His mouth, but listen to this, He was born with all power in His hands! 🙌🏾 Jesus, the Word of God, who spoke the universe into existence, wasn’t rich. Not only wasn’t He rich, but He worked as a carpenter up until He was thirty. I’m going to stop here because I could go on and on but I don’t need to, because this should be enough to show you that your family history, life experiences, or current situation does not dictate who you are. The Word of God does. His Word says, in Romans 8:29, “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.” Do you know the magnitude of this scripture! This is big folks! God has predestined you to be like Christ! Oh, if you only knew how powerful that made you! Who you are, goes beyond what people think about you, or what you go through, or how much money you have. Change your perspective and have a mind of Christ. Know who you are! You are a God heir! Romans 8:17, “Now if we are children, then we are heirs–heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” Not everyone can go through what you’ve gone through and still know WHO THEY ARE! Too many people get caught up in what they go through and become victims or lost in their mess, so they pull away from God, and abandon their God given identity! Listen, God heirs don’t have it easy folks! But, you are chosen by God, to reign with Him forever! Don’t get caught up in the things of this world, if you belong to Christ, then this world is not your home. When this life is over, you’re going somewhere better. This world can’t begin to compare to Heaven. The time we spend here isn’t even a fraction of a second when you look at the eternal scope of things, so don’t let your current situation stress you out! Your current situation is not your final destination! No matter what funk you’re in right now, you’re great right now. You’re powerful right now. You’re favored right now! You’re forgiven right now! You are loved, right now!
1 Peter 2:9, Romans 8:18
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
Remember, Jesus fulfilled His purpose despite everything He went through, because He knew who He was/is. People talked about Him, mocked Him, He went through things unimaginable, but none of these things could take His identity away from Him. Why? Because knowing who you are is a powerful thing. Can’t no devil in hell talk you out of your destiny when you know who you are! No hardship, no sickness, no broken heart, no hater, nobody’s point of view, rejection or acceptance of you. When you’re certain of who you are, no one can take that away from you. ❤️❤️❤️

Can is a mindset, just like can’t. If you believe you can’t, you’ll make an excuse not to, and you can be certain that nothing will ever change for you. When you have an “I can” mindset, then your past, present situations, difficulties or odds stacked against you doesn’t matter, because your mindset is focused, committed come hell or high water, and you’re unstoppable. There was a man in the Bible who wanted Jesus to heal his possessed son. The man said to Jesus, “If you can, take pity on us and help us (Mark 9:22).” Listen to what Jesus said in response, Mark 9:23, “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” Listen, I want you to pay attention because if you believe it, you can achieve it. God can do anything, but you must believe that you can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13). I may burst some bubbles, but the reason you may not have whatever you desire at the moment, is because you’ve been going around with an “I can’t mindset.” You’ve been limiting yourself based off your family history, your past relationships, current circumstances, personal struggles, and comfort zones. 🗣 COME OUT OF “I CAN’T”‼️ Jesus also said, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” – John 14:12 Look people, if God said you could, then you can. It’s all a matter of removing the mindset of “I can’t” which comes from the the demonic duo or evil twins (is what I call them) of doubt and fear. The reason I say this is because doubt and fear works together. If the enemy can get you to doubt God, he can get you to fear him. If he can get you to doubt yourself (even though the power of God dwells in you), he can get you to fear change or the future, therefore causing you to remain in your comfort zone, being fruitless. I’ve said this many times and I will say it many more, “If you change your mindset, it will change your life.”

Matthew 8:26

“And He says to them, ‘O you of little faith, Why are you afraid?’ Then having arisen, He rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.” Jesus didn’t say, you of no faith, because it took some faith for them to go to Him, but Jesus wanted them to have enough faith to be unbothered by what was happening around them! Just because it’s happening around you, doesn’t mean it has to happen to you. What do I mean by that? Fear may be all around you, but you don’t have to let it in! Don’t be afraid!

It doesn’t take much faith to get your paycheck every week, and divide that check in order to take care of your living expenses. The reason it doesn’t take much faith is because you know that if you work, you are going to get paid! You’re expecting that check, and in some cases, your bills are automatically drafted out of your bank account that is dependent on that check! Another reason it doesn’t take much faith to expect your wages is because you trust the company that you work for.

You’re not going to work for someone who’s inconsistent when it comes to giving you your money or when it comes to them keeping their word.

But, what about if the company shuts down out of nowhere and you no longer have a job (God forbids)? What will you do then? You look for new work, but it seems like you just can’t catch a break! Meanwhile your bills are pilling up and you don’t know how you’re going to get through! Do you want to know how to get through?

You have to turn your faith up a notch! You see, it doesn’t take much faith to get by or live comfortably when you can see your check coming or when you can see everything going according to your plans! However, real faith is when you don’t see and still believe like you already have! Mark 11:24, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” You must have a relationship with God in order to trust Him!

Just like you trust the company that you work for, or trust a certain medication to heal you, you must trust God, but even more. A company can let you down. Some medications are good for one thing but does absolutely nothing for other illnesses, but God is able to do anything! He won’t let you down and His power is able to supply your every need! Just like you know when your check is coming through, you must have that same faith in God to know that although you’re facing a difficult time in life, HE WILL COME THROUGH!

You don’t have to know when, just know He’s always on time! So learn how to be unbothered by what you go through, because your problems don’t stop God from being with you! He’s promised to never leave or forsake you (see Deuteronomy 31:6). Be confident in Him!

Speak to your situation with the authority of the Holy Spirit and then go in faith saying, “So it is! It is so! In Jesus name! Amen!

Stop allowing people to speak negatively over your life. Listen, they may mean well, but their words may be all wrong, and we all know our words have power! We were created in God’s image! So, it’s important to know that you have the power to receive or reject someone else’s words being spoken over your life, especially when it doesn’t line up with the Word of God!

This is why it’s important to listen to sound judgment that comes from God. Make sure that your circle of friends are in sync with the Holy Spirit, because if you’re upset about something, a good friend may empathize with you, but they will advise you with reason. A good friend isn’t going to make the situation worse, they’re going to help you overcome it. This is very tricky though, because someone could have good intentions and go about it the wrong way! For instance: If you’re upset about losing a job you’ve had for eighteen years, when you could’ve retired in two more years, and you go and tell your friend, and he or she tells you, “You’ve worked hard all these years and now you have nothing to show for it!

That company has ruined your life!” This friend’s intentions weren’t to make you feel hopeless, but that’s exactly what they put into the atmosphere! They really was trying to empathize with you, but their delivery was all wrong! You don’t have to receive those words into your spirit, because you are not hopeless when you have God! God is your source!

That company was just a tool He used to bless you, but it was never your source! Just like He blessed you with that job, He can bless you with a better one, a more fulfilling one, a purposed one! Get excited when your plans fail, because that means God has a better plan and His plans never fail! Isaiah 55:11 (New Heart English Bible) “So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing I sent it to do.” When God speaks, things happen!

It doesn’t matter if a parent, spouse, friend or stranger has spoken negatively over you (whether they meant to or not), all that matters is what God has declared over your life! I want to encourage you that no matter what you’re going through, you’re not alone, and you’re not in a hopeless situation! I don’t care if your health is saying otherwise, our God is a healer! If you don’t have peace of mind, Jesus Christ is a strong deliverer! Hold on! God is your source and He will not let you down! ❤️

Psalm 121:2

My help comes from the Lord,

the Maker of heaven and earth.

Don’t let life pass you by because you’re too afraid to live. It doesn’t matter what the cards of life has dealt you, play it to the best of your ability, knowing you have help, hope and a future. One of my favorite scriptures of all time is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” If you’ve loved and lost… love again! If you had a dream that didn’t work out the first time… dream again, and dream big!

God never promised us that life would be easy, but He did say that He would go before us, be with us, and never leave us (Deuteronomy 31:8)! That means we can get through anything with God! Find the will to love again and do it deeply! Find the inspiration to dream again, and never give up; give it all you’ve got! Your life didn’t end when you took a loss.

You still have time to turn things around and make it a win! You’re already a winner in Christ, so live like it! Say to your storm, “You won’t defeat me. You’re only making me stronger!”

When life has hit you with its best shot and you feel both down and out and down on luck, look up, get up and LIVE! You’re not too old. It’s not too late. You’re not at a disadvantage. Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can and trust God with what you can’t.

Just because things fell apart in the past, doesn’t mean it won’t come together in the future. Remember 🗣🗣🗣All things are working for your good! Don’t let life happen to you… LET LIFE HAPPEN AND HAVE THE AUDACITY TO LIVE!

Hey y’all! I’m currently on vacay, but as always it’s TEAM JESUS, and today I wanted to share a little something, something with you all that’s been on my heart, and I believe it will bless you. If any of you have teenagers, then you know that teenage years are the most challenging years of parenting! I mean seriously, give me a newborn and zero nights of sleep any day, over a teenager and their attitudes and raging hormones! 0D998732-D24B-4877-A22A-DED978EF0BE2

I’m just kidding, all jokes aside, I love my teenagers, I have four, well one just turned twenty, so three, but it’s basically the same difference.

Anyways, God is teaching me to be more compassionate. Sometimes when one of my teenagers push my buttons and I want to ring their neck, God has taught me to change the way I look at the situation. Instead of making things worse during certain situations, thank God that things aren’t as bad as they could be. I believe it’s important to walk hand and hand even though you don’t always see eye to eye. Our children need us.

There has been many instances where my child or children have made mistakes, but I don’t dwell on their wrongdoings because guess what? I make mistakes daily and God’s grace and mercy still follows me all the days of my life! I go out of my way to be good to my children and I show them compassion daily, even if they wreck my nerves, because my love for them isn’t contingent upon their behavior. It’s the same way with God! The Word of God says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

God loved us when we were His enemies and sent Jesus to die for us WHEN WE WERE HIS ENEMIES! John 15:13 says, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” I couldn’t agree more! Anyway, the Holy Spirit moved me to share this with you, and you may not have a teenager, you may be in a relationship, or dealing with an uncompromising boss, or relative. When someone presses your button, simply respond with love. DE2C042E-EABF-4D23-82BC-4C0E2FA05651

Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you what to say, because in the heat of the moment if you aren’t lead by the Holy Spirit, you will speak out of anger and say something you’ll later regret. God wants us to respond with love. Learn to disagree without being disagreeable. Proverbs 4:7 says, “Wisdom isthe principal thing; thereforeget wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” Ask God to help you properly assess the situation so that you’ll know how to approach it.

Remember, 1 Peter 4:8 (NIV), “Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.” Another very important scripture to help you keep things in perspective is this, Proverbs 17:9, “Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends.” God wants our relationships to thrive! C22056ED-7230-45F7-9E5B-D56738396F1E

Oh, the irony of anger. Have you ever heard the phrase, “It’s a thin line between love and hate?” How about this phrase, “He who angers you controls you?” When someone ticks you off, you’re angry because you feel like they owe you something, preferably an apology. Basically, you just want the person to right their wrongs.

What if the person never apologizes? Should you just forgive and forget? The short answer is yes. Peter asked Jesus how many times should he forgive someone who wronged him? He then asked Jesus should he forgive seven times?

Jesus said seventy times seven (see Matthew 18:21-22). In other words, Jesus was telling Peter to always forgive. Forgiving someone for doing you wrong sets you free. The longer you’re angry, the tighter the clench becomes. The clench that keeps offense in your grip.

You want to know what else is in that clench, the person who offended you! You may think you’re done with this person, but truth is, as long as you’re holding on to what they did, you’re not done with them. In order to heal from the hurt of your past, you have to let go! Another truth is, you won’t let go of the offense because you refuse to let go of the person… you still love them.

What if I told you that it’s possible to love someone for life, without them actually being in your life? It’s the truth. Sometimes it’s best to love from a distance. Especially in situations where being with or around this person robs you of your peace. There are some instances where distance isn’t an option, and so you really have to forgive quickly and learn to protect your peace.

One way to protect your peace is to humble yourself. You’re not doing it to please people, you’re doing it for God, and realizing this makes biting your tongue a lot less painful. James 4:10, “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” Letting go and letting God feels better than the temporary satisfaction of revenge. Deuteronomy 32:35, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay.”

Let God deal with people and most importantly, allow Him to deal with you! Loosen that clench you’ve been holding on to, and allow Him to work on and through you! The process may hurt sometimes, and it isn’t always going to be pretty, but if you trust God with the ugly, He can create something beautiful! There is purpose in your pain!
