Genesis 45:8

So now it was not you who sent me here, but God.

I was having Bible study tonight with my two youngest daughters, and we were reading the story of Joseph. The story of Joseph is a reminder to me, that God is always in control.
Joseph brothers hated him for his dreams and his words. They mocked him and planned to kill him, but sold him to the Ishmaelites who were headed to Egypt, instead. Joseph was sold to Potiphar, one of Pharaoh’s officials and captain of the guard. Genesis 39:2 says, “The Lord was with Joseph, so he became a successful man.”
This is a reminder to all of us that no matter your position. No matter who has turned their back on you. No matter what you are going through. GOD IS WITH YOU! And there’s a greater purpose to everything you go through. Because of God’s favor on Joseph, he gained favor with Potiphar, and Joseph was put in charge of Potiphar’s household and everything he owned. The enemy was mad. He used Potiphar’s wife to try to seduce Joseph, and when Joseph resisted, she lied and said that he tried to sleep with her. Potiphar put Joseph in jail, BUT GOD! God’s favor was with Joseph, even in jail!
I don’t care what pit you’re in, God is there with you! God granted Joseph favor with the Warden! Jacob could interpret dreams, and Pharaoh heard about it, so he sent for Joseph. God granted Joseph favor with Pharaoh, and Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of Egypt. Good God almighty! I hope y’all are following me, tonight! Listen, when the favor of God is on your life, you are unstoppable! It doesn’t matter what your current position is. It doesn’t matter what your current situation is! God has a plan for your life that no devil in hell or person on earth can stop! It will keep working for your good, but you have to stay the course! Stay faithful to God. Have a faith that’s solid, and secure in Jesus Christ. God ended up using Joseph to supply food for those same brothers, during a famine! Be careful how you treat people, and what bridges you burn. You never know who God is going to use to bless you. In Genesis 50:20, Joseph told his brothers, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”
I could shout right there, y’all! Man, oh man! What the enemy meant for evil, God will work it for your good, saints! I’m telling you! I know the situation is uncertain right now. Things look impossible, but God is right here, right now, and He has an awesome plan to use you in a mighty way! He is going to bless you, so that you can be a blessing to others! It’s a blessing to be a blessing! That means God can trust you! His Word says, in Luke 16:10, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” Matthew 25:3 says, “You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.” It’s all about being faithful where you are. Don’t become anxious, depressed or negative. 📢 Your current situation is not your final destination! I’ve been saying this for years! Get that down in your spirit! God said in his Word, Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Be of good cheer my good people! Your story isn’t over! If God is for you, who can be against you? (See Romans 8:31) Nobody! God plan to give you an expected end! 🙏🏾

As long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he was fine, but as soon as he began to focus on what was going on around him, he began to sink, but he cried out to Jesus, and Jesus helped him up.
We’re living in a time where us as believers of Christ, need to step out on faith and do the impossible, through Christ. Our focus is everything right now. Our focus determines whether we walk on water or if we sink. Right now, we have to get out on the water and walk. This means, we have to represent Christ and His glory like never before. We must give people hope like never before. We must glorify God like never before. It may look impossible right now. Things may be uncertain right now. It’s a lot going on, but God is nearby. All you have to do is focus on Him, and walk on water. Walk towards God, through these difficult times. Walk towards God, and not the distractions. God is bigger, greater, and more powerful than this world and anything or anyone in it! God is calling us to do what some would deem impossible during this time. When the majority’s quivering in fear, God is calling the body of believers to believe like never before, and to walk by faith and not by sight. Our responsibility is to spread hope, while the media spreads fear. God is calling us to trust Him, even when we can’t see a way out. Jesus is our way out. He is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). Follow Him. Don’t worry about what people who think they hold the power are doing, remember, God is in control. Look to Him. The distractions are designed to take over your mind so that you can’t see God, but walk on water/step out on faith anyway! Listen to His voice. Don’t allow the winds and waves of life to beat up on you! We are God heirs with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Get out of the boat of comfort, of fear, of doubt, of stagnancy, and negativity! Glorify our God. Love our neighbor. Be an ambassador of hope! Take a bold stand in the Lord, then walk on water!

Matthew 14:27-32

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

29 “Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

No one likes to be uncomfortable; however, a person who’s uncomfortable, is a person on the move. Think about it. Let’s take the story of Goldilocks and the three bears. Goldilocks, sat in the hard chair, then the soft chair, before finding the chair that was just right. You know how the story continues, but it’s not just a story, it’s life. We will experience the hard chair (challenges of life/discomfort). We will experience the chair that’s too soft (places of comfort/stagnation). Both of these experiences are necessary in order for us to reach that place of “just right,” that God has for us, but the only way to get to that place in which we’re destined, is to keep on walking! We’re not in the most danger when walking. We’re in the most danger when being still, and I’m not talking about this quarantine. I’m talking about when you’re at a standstill mentally and spiritually, you’re in even greater danger than you are at a physical standstill. That “soft chair” is a chair of easy breezy and comfort. It’s not necessarily good, but it’s something you can deal with. That soft chair symbolizes settling for less, or settling for things in our control. It takes no faith to remain comfortable, or mentally and or spiritually stuck. All to often we settle for the “too soft chair” out of fear of not being able to control something more. Just because something’s easy, doesn’t make it right. You gotta keep moving/keep walking until you get to the right chair, or the place in which God has called you. The too soft chair is more dangerous than the too hard chair, because you can’t see the threat. You only feel how comfortable it is. Which is why many people think that it’s where they’re supposed to be… because it “feels right” or it “feels good.”
Now let’s talk about the dreaded “hard chair” that we cannot wait to get out of! 😅
Romans 8:18
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

When going through, you can’t see the good in what you go through. You can only see the challenges, the hardships, the pain, the struggles, and how uncomfortable it is, but let me tell you something, this is not your end. There will be glory after this. The challenge (hard chair) is necessary, because it’s guaranteed to make you move or change. I know it hurts but the pain is necessary, the struggles are necessary, because these things are what’s going to help thrust you into your destiny! You’re going to come out stronger, better, braver, more focused, than ever before! In Jesus name. When you’re a child of God, God allows everything you go through to make sense. You may not understand it now, but you will understand later. There’s a purpose to everything you go through. It doesn’t matter what they did, what you did, what matters is what you decide to do right now, in this moment. The only way to move forward, is to keep walking. Keep praying. Keep trusting God. Keep the course. There will be glory after this!
Souls will be saved. Hope will be restored. There are miracles being performed right now. Even in the midst of what you’re going through today, God has already made a way of escape. He already has goodness and mercy following you. He already has angels assigned to you. His blood already has you covered, protected and saved. It’s up to you to activate your faith, that’s the only way to keep walking. We must be plugged into the source. We must put our hope, faith and trust in God. It may feel like you’re in a dark tunnel right now. You can’t see your way. You don’t know if you should turn left or right. Your back may be against the wall. You may be alone. LOOK UP! There will be glory after this! KEEP WALKING. The only way to get through, is to go through! Go through it! Don’t be afraid of going through, be afraid of giving up, and never seeing all the good things God has for you! Going through is not the worst that can happen to you, being mentally and spiritually stuck is! Don’t allow fear to cause you to become stuck, or to become deaf to the voice of God! Fear has no place in your life when you’re a child of God. Hope will not be cancelled! There are a lot of things canceled right now, but in Jesus name, Hope will not be one of them, because God is still on the throne. Jesus is still on His right side interceding for us, and the blood still works! Good God, I could insert a shout right there…🙌🏾💃🏾
On this Palm Sunday, as we celebrate our Lord, Our King, God’s Word, our Saviour. Let us praise His name and honor Him by continuing to follow Him/continuing to walk! Walking by faith and not by sight! Stay the course dear friends, and be encouraged, because there will be glory after this. ❤️❤️❤️

Proverbs 3:5-6,23-26

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

23 Then you will go on your way in safety,
and your foot will not stumble.
24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
25 Have no fear of sudden disaster
or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
26 for the Lord will be at your side
and will keep your foot from being snared.

It’s surreal. I feel like I’m in a dream that I’ve yet to wake up from.
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always had dreams about the end of the world, or I’ve had strange dreams that, let me just say, I was glad to wake up from… but this, this is not a dream, it’s actually happening. This is not a TV show about the apocalypse, or zombies, this is real life, and we’re all locked in our houses trying to avoid this zombie of a virus whose named Covid-19. We’re taking the necessary precautions, not to get bitten by this monster and become its next victim. Although the Coronavirus is scary, the bigger monster is fear. The bigger monster is always the one you can’t see… remember that… Anyway, I’m not making light of this virus because it is definitely real, and sadly it has cost a lot of people their lives, but at the same time, many people have recovered from it as well. So, there is hope; and that is how you defeat fear.3AB01F1B-FE56-4CDF-8D02-91A61780E2D3
Romans 5:3-5
“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
Don’t allow this virus, fear or anything you go through to steal your joy! Put your hope in God! Yet praise Him, because even now, He’s still God. Situations change, but our GOD does not. He is still in control. All power is still in His hands, and He and only He will get us through this. We’re not on our own, left to figure things out. All we have to do is go to Him and trust Him. Don’t fear getting sick, don’t fear not being able to pay your bills, don’t fear going hungry, don’t fear dying! Put your hope in God, so no matter what comes your way, God is with you and will see you through. Fear is only a factor when our focus is off. God’s Word is true. He is our source, everything else we have in this life is just a resource. So, don’t live in fear. God is our provider. God is our healer. God is the resurrection and the life. No matter what comes our way, and no matter how long this thing we’re going through takes, we are secured in Him. By HIS stripes, we are healed; spirit, body, nation and land. In Jesus name. 🙏🏾

1 Peter 5:6-10

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 121 (KJV2000)

1I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from which comes my help.
2My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
3He will not allow your foot to be moved: he that keeps you will not slumber.
4Behold, he that keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5The LORD is your keeper: the LORD is your shade upon your right hand.
6The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
7The LORD shall preserve you from all evil: he shall preserve your soul.
8The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

Stop worrying. Seems like when things are bad, we worry about when things will become good, and when they are good we worry about how long the good will last. Can we ever just enjoy the moment? Whether we’re going through or coming out, many of us are anxious anyway, and God doesn’t want us to live anxiously, He wants us to be at peace in any situation. You know what anxiety is? It’s a side effect of fear and doubt. I call those two ungodly spirits “the twins” because those two forces roll together. If doubt is around, fear is nearby, and vice versa. So, the important thing to remember when times are good or bad, is that God is with us, and His Word is true, no matter what situations we face. God is not someone who switches up on us according to what’s going on in our lives. Things change, people change. God does not! Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.“ In Malachi 3:6, God said, “I am the Lord, I change not.” These are things we need to remember, before we fear our uncertainties. We must stop doubting God, and believe that He is with us in every situation; especially the ones we do not understand, because those are the most crucial, there’s a bigger purpose behind it. Give yourself a break, and what I mean by that, is take a breather and rest your mind, heart and soul in the care of the Lord. When you feel yourself becoming anxious make this affirmation, “God is with me, He will help me, I am not alone!” This affirmation is backed by scripture! I talk about the importance of speaking scriptural affirmations everyday. Positive affirmations should be a daily part of our lives, or several times a day if you’re someone who’s constantly battling that demon. Don’t feel down about it, keep fighting it with the Word of God, and you will defeat it! The way to overcome anxiety or anything that’s not of God, is to not give in. James 4:7, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.“ Remember, whether you’re doing good or bad, the SAME GOD is always with you! Ecclesiastes 7:14, “When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.” For more inspiration, listen to this. https://anchor.fm/shubricca-bell/episodes/Transforming-your-mindset–A-positive-shift-from-negative-thinking-eb7k9r
