Father, today we ask you to cover and protect all essential workers. From those in healthcare, grocery/retail stores, truck drivers, postal workers, public safety, farmers/food processors, warehouse laborers; those in the energy, waste and water field, and every other essential worker who’s out there helping us get through this crisis. Thank you for these individuals, God. Many of them were overlooked by society before this pandemic, but may the world never forget how the people in smaller positions play the biggest role in keeping the world going. May they never again be looked down upon, but may this pandemic be a humbling experience to all of us, to remember no one is better than the next person, and we all need each other. Love for our fellow human being is what makes the world go round, not the love of money. May your Spirit rest on us. May this thing that the world is going through, teaches us to love one another your way, and to never again take not even the simplest things in life for granted. Heal those inflicted with this disease. Protect those who are at risk, from it. Help us to do our part to protect ourselves, but let us always be reminded that healing comes from you. In Jesus name. Amen.
Psalm 138:7 (CSB)
If I walk into the thick of danger, you will preserve my life from the anger of my enemies. You will extend your hand; your right hand will save me.
