How to let go and let God: Breaking free of emotional bondage, and becoming your best self through Christ. (Part 1)

Go!

“Truth is I’m tired.” – Tamela Mann (Take me to the King)

How to let go and let God? That’s the question many of my supporters have asked me lately. We’ve all heard the phrase, but I don’t want it to become cliche, so, with the help of the Holy Spirit, I wanted to let you know that I’ve heard you, and I have an answer for you. There will be many parts to this series, so be on the lookout for the parts to follow. I’m going to give clear instructions to those who needs it, on just how to, let go and let God. I will be honest with you, letting go and letting God is easier said than done, however it is possible. 707599B9-6EBE-492F-BBD6-8AAABAAB9F65
With that being said, you gotta be tired. Not in a sense that you need physical rest, I’m speaking more about a matter of peace. Peace that only Jesus Christ, can give. John 14:27, “ Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” You must be tired of holding on to a victims mindset. You must be tired of waiting on an apology that you may never get. You must be tired of holding on to the pain, thinking it makes you stronger, when in reality it’s holding you back. You must be tired of doing things your way, and must be willing to let God have His way. If you’re not ready to let go of what they did, or if you’re not ready to confront your personal demons or take accountability for your own mistakes, disappointments or shortcomings, this is not for you. I’m really talking to people who are tired. The people who Jesus was talking to when He said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.“ – Matthew 11:28
Jesus wants us to give our baggage to Him, no matter how ugly or heavy it is. It’s time to stop taking comfort in our mess, and give it to Him. So, how to let go and let God? Go… Go. To. God. It only works if you’re tired. If you’re not ready to let go, it’s not going to work. God will never force Himself on us, but when you’re ready to come to Him, He’s ready to take the pain away and give you His peace.
