Know God for yourself! Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” Listen, when you’re in the kitchen and someone is cooking, it can smell really good, but you have to taste what they’re cooking for yourself in order to see if the food is actually good. The same applies to your relationship with God. You can see the evidence of His goodness all around you, but you must make your relationship with Him personal. Hold Him to His Word, and watch Him come through. He’s not intimidated when you remind Him of what He said. He will fulfill His promises. He’s not like people. People get mad or catch selective amnesia when you remind them of their promises or words, but God’s Word is His bond and it will do what He sends it to do. So, try Him out! Don’t be afraid to believe. It’s good to hear other people’s testimonies but in order to experience His glory in your life, you must learn to hear (trust) His voice and know (believe) Him for yourself.
They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”
