You may have suffered a loss, but you do not lack!

Hi everyone! Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone is enjoying this day, first giving honor and thanksgiving to God for all the many blessings he gives us on the daily, and then thanking those individuals who’ve been a blessing in our lives. I want to take this time out to give a message to anyone dealing with anxiety or depression this holiday season. You see for many, the holidays bring us lots of good cheer with friends and family near, but for some, the holidays are depressing and many people are saddened by either a loss of a loved one who’s gone to glory, or a loss as in a breakup or divorce. These things can take a toll on an individual, especially when the holidays roll around. I want to encourage you that although you’ve suffered a loss, you do not lack. You may feel lonely, but you’re never alone. God has never left your side. Allow His Spirit to comfort you. You will find joy in Him. I have two scriptures I want you to remember whenever you’re feeling alone or at a loss. Psalm 34:18 says, The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:10 The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. Instead of allowing your spirit to be down about what you’ve lost, count the blessings you have left. Cherish the people who love you and are still here with you. Don’t allow your heart, mind and soul to leave with whoever you’ve lost. There are people here who still needs your love and who loves you in return. There are people who need your gifts and talents. There are blessings you enjoy everyday that many people don’t have. You’re still incredibly blessed. You may have lost some things or people, but you lack nothing. God is the source of your supply, no matter the need. Embrace the love He has for you. I know it hurts but don’t become stuck in the past. Remember the moments that makes the memories bittersweet, but don’t allow who left, to cause you to forget what you have left.
