Focus on you.

Oftentimes we can’t get to where we want to be because we’re too worried about where other people are. We’re comparing our struggles with other people’s success. It’s impossible to take care of your business if you’re constantly in somebody else’s. That’s why it’s best to mind your business or as some people say, “Mind the business that pays you.”

Focus on what you can do, rather than what’s out of your control. Successful people will tell you that they had a dream, and they went after that dream no matter what. They will tell you that they’ve had obstacles and things weren’t easy. Sacrifices has to be made, but seeing that dream turn into reality will be worth it. The main thing is to stay focused. Don’t wish you were someone else who’s better off than you in a certain area of their life. Just because they’re smarter, or more successful, taller, cuter or they may have a social status that you aspire to, that doesn’t mean that they don’t have their very own personal struggles too. You never know what they’re dealing with or what they had to go through to get to where they are now. So, stay the course. We all have our own journeys to walk, but when you accept Christ as your personal Savior, you can walk in His peace, knowing that He is your guide. You may not always like the tour. Sometimes it will be scary, lonely, and confusing. There will be ups and downs and sometimes the mountain will be impossible for you to climb, but that’s when you tap into His power and trust Him to help you get through it or move it out the way. No matter how off track or how long the journey seems, if you allow God to lead you, you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. I know that it may not always look like it in the natural, but oh, if only you could see the supernatural view! You’re making tremendous progress my friends! Remember, just because your situation doesn’t look as pleasant as theirs, doesn’t mean God has forgotten you. Stay focused on what He’s doing in you! God gives us grace for what we can handle and everything you go through in life has purpose. God knows the desires of your heart. He’s a good Father who provides for us daily. He fulfills our needs and wants according to His will. Don’t allow the things of this world to cause you to lose sight of Him. If you look to Him, everything else will fall in line. Trust Him in those uncomfortable places. That uncomfortable place builds character and it also gives you a mirror view of your faith. So, walk in the joy and confidence of Christ. He will finish what He began in you, and it will be glorious! Philippians 1:6, “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
