Pack light…

Have you ever just wanted to get away? Too much was going on? You were dealing with this and that, oh yeah… and that other thing? You thought, that a change of scenery will change your life? The problem with running from your problems is that they’re not only a part of you, but they cause chaos to follow you. Running with too much baggage not only makes you look foolish, but it slows you down and causes you to fall. Your vision is blurred because your entire focus is on all the baggage you’re carrying around and the only thing you want to do more than anything, is to keep it together. You can’t keep it together by holding on though. Toss it at the alter of God and let go!

There’s no such thing as leaving your problems behind you if those problems are a heart issue. Those problems won’t go away no matter how far you run until you deal with those matters of the heart by fully surrendering to God and allowing Him to heal you, and by you receiving His peace. That constant peace that’s in your heart no matter what you go through. The peace that transcends all understanding. Philippians 4:7, “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Our hearts and minds are connected. Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” This confirms that our thoughts comes from our heart, and we live accordingly. For instance: A kind hearted person doesn’t try to be kind, they just are. They have a mindset of kindness, everywhere they go. Kindness is their lifestyle. On the other hand, a person who harbors bitterness in their heart, also has bitter thoughts, and those negative emotions are a gateway for all other ungodly spirits to come in and wreak havoc on that person’s life. No matter how far the person tries to run away from their issues, those issues doesn’t leave because they’re apart of that individual. You see where I’m going here? A heart issue can start off as a small seed and it can grow into something huge! It’s up to us to keep the good seeds and toss the bad ones. The seeds you sow, not only affects your heart and mind, they affect your life and the lives of others around you. Remember Galatians 6:7, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” If you’ve been running from your problems but you seem to encounter the same issues everywhere you go, it’s time to do some soul searching and have a real come to Jesus moment. What are you holding onto, inside your heart that’s causing you to encounter the same problems? The same problems with your family? The same problems on every job you get? The same problems with your finances? The same health issues as a result of the stress from whatever that “thing” is you’re carrying around in your heart! Release it! In Jesus name! Right now! Stop taking negative energy with you everywhere you go! It’s time to spread some positive light that will change your life! In Jesus name. Amen. John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
