Training those thoughts.

Lord have mercy. How many times has God physically delivered us from a situation, only for us to remain mentally caged by our own way of thinking (leaning to our own understanding). I believe that sometimes we pray for something so long, and believe that somehow when we get what we pray for, all of our life issues will magically fade away. This is a very naive way of thinking. People or things that we pray for, won’t fix our hearts and mind, only God can do that. The Word of God says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all (Psalm 34:19). Listen my good people, we are going to go through. Riches won’t fix everything. There’s some things that money simply cannot buy. A husband or wife won’t fix what’s broken inside of you. A good one can pray you through and inspire, motivate and love you… but they cannot fix you. We must go to God on our own behalf, and allow Him to change our hearts and minds. God can deliver us out of a situation, but we must use our free will to have a mind of Christ. The Word of God says, in Philippians 2:5, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Your deliverance happens long before you see a physical manifestation. It all begins in your mind. You see, God had delivered the children of Israel from slavery, but soon as they saw Pharaoh fast on their tracks, they panicked and begin to doubt God and even thought, It wasn’t so bad being a slave…

Do you know why they felt this way? Because they weren’t delivered in their minds! God can do a lot of things for us, but He will not make up our minds for us, because that’s conflicting with the free will that He has given us! We have to believe that He is who He says He is, and will do what He said He’ll do! When troubles come our way, there’s no time to panic! It’s actually an opportunity to tell the hell we go through that, GOD SAID WHAT HE SAID! God wants us to seek Him and move forward with confidence in His Word. He doesn’t want us panicking and being doubtful, He wants us to trust Him. As quick as fear and doubt come to your mind, cast them out! 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” If you tell yourself, “I’m going to trust God, no matter what my situation looks like.” Guess what’s going to happen? God is going to not only move on your behalf, but exceed your expectations. God loves faith! Hebrews 11:6, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Physcial deliverance is nothing if you’re still a mental slave… remember that. Your deliverance begins with you! Jesus has set us free, but He also wants you delivered, but you must work with Him. You must not only desire it, you must train your mind that you already are, and whatever you cannot do, God will do for you! Deliverance is composed of two parts, believing and doing… Sounds a lot like faith, doesn’t it? 😉 Faith without works is dead (James 2:17). You’ve wasted enough time being mentally caged by what you feel and what you see… God is saying, IT’S TIME TO MOVE FORWARD. HE SAID, WHAT HE SAID!

Exodus 14:13-15

And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on.”
